Originals are finely stuck as seen in my Album. This one is cast. Could be war period but hard to tell.

a friend of mines grandfather was a NZ Brig General and commanded the Greek Mountain Brigade in the battle of Rimini. He got an order of Valor and one of these badges. He was the guy in charge of the defence of the Maleme airfield in the battle of Crete (too many paratroopers not enough bullets.....). Also commanded the NZ guys in Korea and served with Greeks again they gave him some Greek badges during the Korea in honour of his service.

Spink Version
Hi everybody,
I came up with unconfirmed information that Spink manufactured in the past those badges, the Greek Sacred Squadron Badges. Does anyone heard anything about it? Have a nice day guys |

It is a cast copy. The original struck ones have the date plaque separate and sweated on (i.e. heated up and stuck down with hard solder). Shaun |
