After submitting a post recently I found that I had made a spelling mistake in the title. I tried to edit the error but, though I could make changes to the text, I could not alter the title. Is that usual or is there a way that I could have made the alteration?

I have often wondered that myself.

One of the many things I like about this well mannered forum is that when somebody does make a spelling mistake it is accepted. We know what is meant, and we leave it at that.

Donny,

I have added the extra letter to read 'badges' for you.

When I went through your threads I did not see it at first and top marks for your punctuation and use of the possessive apostrophe.

To add to Alan's response, I don't think Forum members are allowed to edit thread titles. That has to be done by admn or mod.

As above, not possible for non-moderators to edit titles unfortunately, but if one needs changed you can message me (or Alan or Bill) and I'm sure we'll sort it pronto.(ish)

Thanks for all the advice. I shall remember in future.

Alan! Thanks for your comments. I learned the value of appropriate punctuation in making your meaning clear when I discovered that the sentence, "I helped my Uncle Jack off his donkey." does not necessarily say what is meant.
