Default Irish Free State: Branch of service collar insignia

From an older collection. Had these put back in a box and found again. I am unsure as to era in which these were worn... I will venture a guess at pre- WW2/WW2 era. They all have a dark brown and in some cases black finish to them. Lugs to the reverse with a few that are bladed. Any additional information would be appreciated Jack

If this is still actual then please send me your email address and I can provide some extra information from the reference book.

There are few more modern ones as well.

In respect of difference between 1920s or 1940s, it's important to know the material.

Also they are odd colours, are they painted?

Here are some of mine...

Hello fellas, just seen your responses. Cannot say if painted but they are very dark brown and or black on some pieces. Thanks Jack
