Default New Int Corps stable belt locket

Anyone know anything about the attached photo? Is this a new approved pattern for the Corps?

Yes I saw at least three different designs during my service 1970-2001.

Interesting, back in mah day when t'regiment (RRF) wore a stable belt with the ridiculous brass belt plate bearing a fragile anodised aluminium badge the old Lancashire Fusilier stable belts which were the same but with leather straps instead of brass plate were permitted and coveted
At least the Int Corps locket doesn't have to be polished - but Id've thought that the old strap version would be the one squaddies (even intelligent ones) would want.

I doubt that the intelligent squaddies were even asked!

In RRF context - brass plate, anodised aluminium badge as per the beret badge but with short lugs and no hackle fitting so not interchangable unless stable belt badge put on beret, brass washers behind the anod al belt badge with brass cotter pin, all requiring bulling (othert the anod al badge).
A triumph of salesmanship over practicality.

Having (very occasionally) worn the RM Corps Pattern stable belt (with straps) and then later served in a unit that had a locket I far preferred the latter, just as comfortable and much easier to drop your trou when necessary!

Easier to drop 'em? - you wore stable belts in the field or just had a busy social life?
There's that to it I suppose - chromed lockets are practical - but those brass plates with anod badges were terrible things.

Used to think stable belts were a good smart look the Suffolk & Norfolk Yeomanry were not meant to be worn at the time...but were.

Further thread drift - I have a Guards blue and maroon stable belt, leather straps and a soft leather lining to the belt itself, I havn't seen this on a stable belt before - would it be a feature of belts worn by horsed units?
