Default Royal British Legion Affiliated Scout Group Badge

Not seen many of these in my time, and this is a great image of said badge, so I thought I'd post it here for reference. I've looked through the forum via its search feature and the albums and cannot find a copy (or reference) too one. I have also attached the reference sheet from the RBL for further reference.

I have one in my ACF/CCF album top left in this group image

I need to post separate pictures and retitle/remove some which are scout badges.

Check your sizes as they were reduced in 2016 from 5.2 x 4cm to the currant 4.35 x 3.75cm and the price reduced from £1 to .50p each last year.

Detachments also receive a Pendant to attach to their Standards when they become affiliated.

Yesterday one was sold by a "dealer" on eBay ("private listing - bidder identity protected") for £18.00 !

Today I got one on eBay from someone (probably involved in scouts/guides) for £5.55.

I know they only cost 50p but don't come up very often so I'm happy with what I paid.

Just for information.

Youth affiliations

The Royal British Legion Youth Affiliation programme is available to all Legion branches and youth organisations, particularly Service youth organisations (e.g. Sea Cadet Corps, Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps). Any youth organisation, whether it’s uniformed or not, can become affiliated to one or more Legion branches. The purpose of affiliation is to promote mutual support and encouragement to each others’ aims and objectives within the local community.

I keep seeing post with nice pictures of ACF, CCF and RBL badges and love seeing them! At the same time it is also very dangerous ass it makes me start giving thought to , well.... Hmm, that looks like an interesting area to collect!!! NOOoooo, I do NOT need another tangent to start pursuing!!!

I have started getting some BL/RBL Women's pins as they do fit my areas of collecting. Any idea how many variations there are?

Sorry, didn't mean to change the topic of the thread, but really enjoyed seeing all of the variations of the affiliated patch.

Terry

Hi Mike

Hope all well with you. Do the BL "Youth Club" and the "British Legion Cubs" badges fit into this picture?

I know I've posted photos of both of these but it might help remind members to keep an eye out for them so feel free to put up my photos or I can dig through my archives and put them up again!
