Default NZEF Rifle Brigade Reinforcements

Hi all

just wanted some feedback on this badge, I think it should be a 4/179 (Geoff Oldham) type, but the scroll is different and the crown is void which I believe is not common

regards and thanks

Hi sold on eBay today.
Thought the lugs had been soldered difficult to tell from pictures.
Think it made 41£ fair price probably cheap.
May have been converted from a sweetheart to lugged badge in its life.
All,the best
Dan

Hi Dan

Thanks for the reply, so the badge seems genuine and yes think lugs have been soldered on, but still a very different variation of this badge

regards

Not so uncommon here in New Zealand, they usually sell around Geoffs 2011 book value of $65 NZd.

Could be original lugs, just highly polished.

Although this particular badge frame is not pictured in Geoffs book, it falls in line with badges 4/176 to 4/179, which are the most common of the NZRB reinforcement badges.

This thread has more information about the types of reinforcement frames worn by the NZRB.
