Default One for Roy !!

I was very pleased to have picked up the Volunteer Force certificate for service in the 1st Vol. Bn. Kings Shropshire Light Infantry by V987513 Pte. John Henry Dodds between 18th January 1918 and 3rd October 1919.

Especially pleased because the certificate is in extremely good condition for its age.

P.B.

Peter,

One for me......

Lucky bugger - that's a beauty Peter, thanks for showing.

Of course that scrap of paper is of not much use to you, so send it along old chap....

Cheers, Roy.

Thanks,

Pity it was not actually signed in person by a former C.O. of one of the battalions of the Royal Scots Fusiliers. That would have made it something.

You're right Peter,

These fragile paper pieces must be getting pretty scarce. Gosh the condition of this is superb. Nice find Peter.

Cheers, Roy.
