AFC or RFC WW1 or WW2 ??
Any ideas of what these are and what period ??

That's correct. Flight sergeants wore one with a crown above with their 3-bar chevrons. I'm not certain if the centre of the flight sergeants' propeller had the star or not, hopefully somebody can advise.
Quartermaster Sergeants had the same propeller badge with central star over their inverted 4-bar chevrons on the lower sleeve. In the Australian forces the latter badge of rank/appointment was worn until 1917, in the British Army it disappeared in 1915 I presume. Keith |
