Default British Legion Women's Section

Sorting through some badges and have a couple of questions.

History

The British Legion was formed on 15 May 1921 , at the time it was decreed that "women would not be eligible for ordinary membership but that a separate Women’s Auxiliary should be set up - and so the 'Women’s Auxiliary Section of the British Legion' was established ".

At a Legion Conference in July 1922, a further Resolution was proposed that the Constitution be amended to allow ex-Servicewomen to be admitted to ordinary membership of the Legion on equal terms with the men. As a result, the word ‘Auxiliary’ was amended to 'Section' and thus the British Legion ‘Women’s Section’ was born.

Question - Was there a badge for the "Women's Auxiliary Section" ?

Badges

The first Women's Section badges I have were all made by the Birmingham Medal Company:
A Women's Section Honorary Badge (Rd.686125) and standard Women's Section Badges (Rd.686642) , so 1922.
The standard badges have 3 slightly different makers marks (font size/position).

Question - Do the different marks indicate time periods ?

BM Co. also made a small version , a lapel pin and a brooch version (sterling silver and 9ct gold version have also been made).

Question - anyone got a spare lapel pin ?

I also have a tin badge.

Question - Was this "economy" badge only a WW2 item ?

Default British Legion Women's Section - Part 2

I have standard and honorary British Legion Women's Section badges made by JR Gaunt London (also unmarked one) but none has a Registered Design number ?

Question - When did Birmingham Medal Co. stop making Women's Section badges and JR Gaunt take over with new designs ?

Post 1971 RBLWS - The badges I have do not have any makers marks or numbers , are there marked badges available ?

Final question - I've seen RBLWS 'Associate' and 'Honorary' badges (in Jerry's album) but never knew that Women's section issued 'Associate' badges and also curious when the 'Honorary' badges stopped being made as I've never seen any for sale ?
