REME ? IRISH? 78 DIV? 38 Brigade ?
Picked up this hand made wooden plaque today, presumably made in the REME workshops of 38th(Irish ) Brigade in 78th Division.
Would possibly fit into a number of different collections. The workmanship is excellent, whoever made it must have put a lot of time into it and its quite possibly a one off item. P.B.

38 (Irish) Inf Bde
Outstanding. 38 (Irish) Inf Bde always seemed to be a pretty stylish formation. From the shamrock badge backing worn by some of their non-Irish elements to the Brigade "Mark of Merit" and associated certificate they always did things in a slightly unconventional but extremely professional way. And this clearly extended to the Bde REME.
