Default Royal Navy arm badges

I have these badges with PO/CPO crown, but I don't find the significance of the stars. Thank you for your help.

this site will help you. The stars have to do with skill level. Make sure you scroll down past the officer's material

The first badge pair is CPO TAS Instructor from 1951.

The second badge is Physical Training Instructor, same time frame.
I do not know what the red embroidery on white background is, perhaps Pete will be along to explain that.

Red embroidered on White for the PTI vest. Also worn by Royal Marines PTIs (aka "Club Swingers"!)

Thank you for your answers. The first one seems to be Sonar Branch, but I don't find explanations about the two stars, as instructors' badges wear usually one star.

For a while instructors or ratings on higher pay did wear 2 stars beneath the device with crown above but this stopped in the 1980's

Sonar branch rec'd their coil/harpoon/lightening rate badges in 1930, then in 1947 was phased out to become the TAS (Torpedo Anti Submarine) branch. TAS was further subdivided into C (Underwater Control) & W (Underwater Weapons).
