Skinners' School OTC
Thought I'd share this recent acquisition; a unit scarcely seen in print I'd imagine - Skinners' School OTC:
Had trouble initially identifying the cap badge but think I have nailed it, especially in light of the photographer's stamp on the reverse: 'S. Payne Jenkins' of Tunbridge Wells. Incidentally, there is a photo of the Skinners' School taken by 'S. Payne Jenkins' HERE Regards, JT |

Skinners'
HI JT,
Thanks for the memories of my old school. The Worshipful Company of Skinners have a lot to answer for. By the way I don't recognize any of the people in the photograph!! All the best, Alan |

Were they known the Fyrd?

My understanding is that the Anglo-Saxon Fyrd was divided up into two distinct classes... but that still leaves one Fyrd unaccounted for!
