Default Purchases on holiday

I found a frame of ( mainly ) Household Brigade related badges in a shop in Eton whilst of holiday. Like a lot of collections there appear to be some genuine and non genuine badges mixed together and I would appreciate any comments on any of the items.

There are a couple of embroidered Guards arm badges, a couple of wbc`s with matching bench marks ( positive id`s appreciated ) and a binocular case badge badge (?).

There are some Guards cap badges including a Grenadiers cap badge with strengthening and an extra lug and a Welsh Guards badge with slider marked Dowler Birmingham and a First Life Guards Geo 5th cap badge with blades replaced with a crudely fitted slider and Geo 6th RHG badge with one blade and marked Firmin London.

Finally a number of badges which I am not at all happy with.

All comments gratefully received, they are not items I will be keeping.

Many thanks

P.B.

The 6 badges in your last 2 photos are indeed reproduction imo.

The 5 Foot Guards and the 2 x Household cavalry in the earlier photos are genuine badges.

Peter, the large grenade badge is part of the cloak chain. minus hook or chain. Depending which end it is. You probably know this. What was the price for this lot, i can't see the tag in the photo ?

Not a fan of the RHC badge Peter, sorry. Looks to have been artificially aged on the back and you do see a lot of Gaunt B’ham marked fakes of these. Incidentally the slider on your badge is the same shape/length as the aforementioned.

Thanks for all the responses which are appreciated.

(Simon only in Eton/Windsor to be close to Heathrow for flight to US otherwise I would definitely be a Harrow supporter )

If anyone can positively identify the wbc`s I would appreciate it.

Will be in touch with everyone who has expressed an interest in individual badges.

Peter

I agree with Luke H, sorry Peter, the RHC is likely a reproduction.
