Usual fakes have just the crown unvoided and hatching dividing line under TT in BATTALION. Regards, Paul.

Greetings John.

Following on from Luke's post, I will add what I believe are a couple of pointers for future reference:

Within the plinth below the crown, there should be .. beneath the th.

(However, I have seen what I believe to be faked examples with the .. but show other faults which render them as duds.)

B and L of Battalion are slightly out of sync with the other letters.

There are others.
