I don't believe there is such a unit, but just possibly [Texas] Agricultural and Mechanical University ROTC?

Similar titles turn up on ebay, a variety of letter combinations, some with round and some with square "full stops", including "A.M.U", just described as being genuine, old and Indian.

Laurent,

Not Army Marksmanship Unit, the only identifier for them are a black ball cap with the patch shown on the Wikipedia page. Worn only when instructing and competing in matches.

Leigh

Any thoughts on what the letters may stand for, if Indian?

Sorry, no idea at all, as I mentioned the description was / is just that they're "old" and "Indian" with no further information.
