Help with enamelled badge appreciated.
Can any Forum member help identify this badge. It appears to be EVII period but what the T represents I have no idea.
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Malcolm. |

Sticking my head above the parapet (as it is a guess) is the T Territorial and ER Emergency Reserve?

Hello Dave.
Many thanks for the reply. It doesn’t look military to me, something to do with EDVII coronation maybe? Kind regards, Malcolm. |

Possibly a souvenir item produced for this event :
King Edward VII Presenting Colours to Territorial Troops, Windsor Castle, 19 June 1909. .

Hello Mike.
I like this suggestion! Many thanks for the illustration. The badge certainly has a commemorative look about it. Hopefully I will have pics of the reverse next week which may have something to add. Kind regards, Malcolm. |

Here is the reverse of the badge. Button hole fixing for a man. It has the makers details for Vaugnton Birmingham. It also carries some type of number: R2543795.
It came with a shooting badge and other items. Kind regards, Malcolm. |

I'd go with "T" being "Territorial" and possibly indicating that the wearer was a member.
Shame that the enamel flags are a little dinged but it suggests that it was worn by someone who was proud of it! |

I have looked at the badge under a glass and there are no dings to the enamel. It surrounds the lions etc in the design of the flags perfectly. Probably just an optical illusion, the result of my poor photos.
Kind regards, Malcolm. |
