The flag doesn't touch the lamb's back. However the Lamb does have a crooked front leg.

Got to be a horse on the plate , which is what threw me along the Kings route,
I reckon now with the better picks also that the collar is a Hart, The closest hart looks to me like the late 19th century ones worn by regular units, perhaps he was permanent staff of the time drawn from another county or an ex Beds man who had not updated his collar to the Kent vols, . The VB Suffolks were still wearing the old volunteer cross belt plates so dating can sometimes be difficult, Thankyou for posting this has been a very good thread, Kevin
