Default CATS

I'm a bit confused as to the correct designation of the CATS badge - whether it should be Canadian Auxiliary Transport Service or Territorial Service.
I have seen references that Mazeas (Transport Service) is wrong, yet I still continue to see this designation, even in the Forum's Badge Registry. Googling hasn't turned up much help.
I would appreciate comments towards a definitive answer as to the correct designation.
Thanks
GTB

The Mazeas description is incorrect, and unfortunately has been perpetuated in collecting circles. The correct designation is Canadian Auxiliary Territorial Service. CATS was modelled on the ATS in Britain, and was a predecessor of the CWAC. (Athene history of the Canadian Women's Army Corps).
Their badges are quite scarce.
