Default SCOTTISH BORDERERS BADGE - AGE?

I believe this to be an authentic badge. Do you agree? Any thoughts on the era?
Thanks
Shannon

Of note....it's the same badge. The scan wasn't clear but showed the finish. The photo took all of the shine off the badge.

It is an OR's badge worn from circa 1903 until the 1970's.

Apparently the KOSB were so well stocked with KC badges that they wore them until after the Brigade system, see attached 1970 pattern card from the IWM. Perfectly correct answer would have been from circa 1903 to 1959 when the Lowland Brigade badge was introduced, and again from early March 1968 until introduction of the QC A/A badge.

Rgds, Thomas.
