Thanks Andy, i can see that one , what about a badge with a mounted wheel like Marc said in post #13.

'Your RA Beret Badge image 0033, is missing the mounted wheel, so is a broken badge not a variation.'

Thanks
Derrick.

Hi Guys,

The four officially authorised examples of the RA A/A cap badge are recorded on page 546 of my book.

Chris and Derrick as part of their study into the makers of A/A cap badges include all such badges manufactured including unofficial commissions such as subdued examples.

Such an undertaking is to be admired.

Regards

Chris

[QUOTE=54Bty;311371]Your RA Beret Badge image 0033, is missing the mounted wheel, so is a broken badge not a variation.

Is it NOT a varation by a maker? I have a one with "wheel missing" aswell, it is marked TOYE, KENNING & SPENCER
Can it be that this maker issued the badges like this?

Jerry.

They may have been released by the company, but I don't think they would have been issued with the wheel missing.
