duke of edinburgh's own vol. rifles badges
All,
Have been offered a small gilding metal cap badge to the Duke of Edinburgh's own Volunteer rifles. It has lugs and is an extremely high quality strike. Just want to know a little more about what to look for in the badges. I know they are making restrikes, but this one certainly does not seem to be like those. Thanks, CB |

South African badges havent been faked as extensively as Brit badges, but as the prices go up there is more incentive for the fakers to get busy. Can you get a good close up pic ( front and especially back) ?

Thanks. I havent got the badge yet, but it is good to know that SA badges have not been faked to death... yet. I believe the badge in question is a good one judging from the exceptional quality of the strike, copper toned gilding metal and weight.
