Default West Kent Yeomanry Question

Would the East Kent Yeomanry badge, KK 1438 - the one with the rearing horse in a garter surmounted by the K/C - be right in gilding metal?

KK states in bronze (bronzed brass) and blackened finish, but does not mention plain brass/gilding.

Any comment on the gilding metal example below:
