Thanks Mick. Julian's book ANZAC Elite shows the wings as 1950s -60s summer dress wing. In the 1950s and 1960s Aussies were involved in Malaya then Borneo and eventually Vietnam. Seen any brassards from this period and is the construction similar? I have only ever seen the AATTV brassard in the Canberra Museun and it is different to this.
Is the rank a W01? Why no Aussie coat of arms? Shaun |

Hi Shaun,
That's an old Aussie WO1 rank - I think it was superseded by the Australian coat of arms rank in the 1970s. Could have been worn in 1960s or early 1970s. It's a typical brassard from that period. Mick

obviously a hard to find special forces brassard worn in highly dangerous situations (like a bar in Patpong Rd).... going to flog it off. Any interest anywhere?
