Default Awesome Indian para wings - a recent ebay sales

This Indian para wing was recently sold on ebay (€680,76 hammer price); I have never seen this exact pattern before but I find it absolutely magnificent.

Is it odd that it uses a U.S. ribbon bar back and pin? The holding thread certainly looks old enough.

Re the US ribbon pin. To me, it's not an issue if it's from the CBI theater. I suspect the wearer used what ever he could find available.
