Rev: Large arrow in quiver strung bow behind. THESSALO /NIKEO/ N.
Two monograms left HKA, right K?
Sear 1468.
Artemis of the wildland Mistress of animals.

Ob: Radiate draped and cuiriassed bust right M ANT GORDIANOC AVG.
Rev: Legionary eagle between two standards surmounted by capricorns
between and beneath N-IK-AI-E-ON. Coin is flat struck and off centre.

Rev: Spes advancing left holding flower raising hem of skirt. SPES REBVPLICAE.
Detailed portrait of Tetricus, Spes was the goddess of hope.

Rev; Double cornucopia holding poppy flowers. Aramaic monograms 'SHIN' & 'HET' barely visible on this coin.

Uncertain 3rdC AD imitation.
Ae 22x24mm 7.85gm.
Ob: Emperors laureate bust right, with sharp nose blundered legend around.
Rev: Tetrastyle temple with cult figure at centre, anchor in left field and a gaping crocodile in right??? The reverse die looks to have suffered some damage.

Rev: Two founders with oxen ploughing right. Countermarked K with bar on top.

Rev: Headress of Isis resting upon two grain ears above inverted cresent with star below. BASILEOS ANTIOXOY EYEPGETOY..
The titles after his name mean the benefactor from Sides.
Killed by the Pathians in a surprise attack.

Trajan 98-117 AD.
Ae 17 x 4.62 7.5gm. Ascalon Judea.
Ob: Laureate bust right CEBAC. Countermark under chin I or T within rectangle.
Rev: Phanebal raising sword and holding shield. ACKA KC date code for 116/7 AD.
The flan is so undersize most of legends are not visible they seem to have made up the weight by doubling the thickness the coin. The coin was reheated to stamp the countermark this caused a large flat area on the reverse. See post no 298 for Domitian example.
