Default St Andrew's Service Children's Primary School (Malta)

I've had this badge for a few decades, assumed it was a sign of a British military formation based in Malta but never identified it until now (I think).
It appears to be a badge of St Andrew's Service Children's Primary School (Malta):

Well done Leigh I think has been a long unidentified badge confounding many collectors.
Another mystery solved

Can't get the link to work properly, though jumping through link hoops gets there eventually.

An illustration from the article:

"Cross of the Order of St John on a red background and the British Army emblem, was the Army Children's School Malta Crest".

Yes it has been sold as such by dealers. Some research goes a long way!!

Presumably a number came on to the market after the school closed in 1978.

While on this subject, another of note that could be mistaken for a formation badge is discussed on this link;

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...=Maltese+Cross

School badge for Royal Navy Service Children School Tal Handaq & Royal Navy Service Children School Verdala Malta.
