26 Coy CFC CEF cap badge?
My wife's great grandfather served in 26 Company, Canadian Forestry Corps during WWI. I would like to put together a small display to commemorate his service, including some appropriate badges. Can anyone educate me as to which badges (cap, collar, etc.) would have been worn by members of 26 Coy, CFC during the Great War? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

CFC CEF
Hello,
No specific badge to the 26 Coy CFC CEF. Generic general svc badge for the CFC worn Babin 34-4 and 34-5. Check the CEF Gallery on this website page 3 there are examples of these in the gallery. I hope this helps. Cheers Rob

Hi Rob, Is there a chance that the 26 Coy may have worn the Winnipeg Forestry Company badge? Babin 34-9? Charlton seems to indicate that it was worn by Manitoba Forestry, not just Winnipeg.

Thanks for the info! I will keep my eyes open for either of the general service badges (34-4 or 34-5).
