Default Canadian Volunteer Militia

Hi Chaps,

So here is another one of my recent Canadian finds; Volunteer Militia, I'm thinking with the bugle it's light infantry.

Any thoughts on a date for this one.?

As it has a rim, which was generally introduced in the mid 1850's, I'm thinking its's post that date but unsure how long this (Victorian) button may have been in use.

Cheers,

Roy

Ok. That dates the button to between 1841 and 1867. But, more likely after 1855, when the first militia act was passed.
