Hi Tony, interesting. Is the back silver?, it's hard to tell in some photo's what is w/m and what is brass. But still interesting, I've only seen one British manufactured cap badge that was plated, if that is what that collar is. I will look at my collars tomorrow see if I can find a match, or it's another item to look out for. Thank you for the photo's it was very kind of you, best wishes Mike

Default Collar

Evening Mike ,

Definitely brass in colour , I will give the back a scrape tomorrow to see if this is plated .
I’ve been on the look out for an opposing collar for years , in fact I’ve yet to find another singleton of the same badge

Hi Tony, sorry for delay. I found a pair of w/m collars the same as yours, and also a brooched one. Both are definitly w/m and not plated. The pair are odd in that they were lugged and have had them replaced by the single flat lug with slot. Someone on the forum did date the change to the single lug so that should give a start date for this type. Yours is still a mystery. As it is lugged maybe a precurssor wrongly struck in brass? Who knows, I wish I did. I will photo the badges in a couple of days if you want. My pics never take well in artificial light and I'm at work for the next couple of days. Best wishes and I hope this helps Mike
