Default 8th Irish Hussars question

Hello, I was in my favourite Collector’s shop this morning looking through his latest additions. He has an interesting 8th Irish Hussars cap badge. Initially I thought it was a NIH badge, as rather than bi-metal it is all a rather coppery GM. I don’t think it is EI as it is of two part construction. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures. My questions are; were all GM badges ever made and if so what are the signs of a good one?

Best wishes David Moore

There was no authorised 8th Hussars 1916 all GM issue, nor to my knowledge was an all GM badge worn at any time.

The coppery colour does not sound promising.

Can you take a picture?
