Default Shoulder Title JS

I'm not a ST person, but acquired this recently because JS happen to be my initials. I have no idea what JS represents, and it might not even be military, but any help in identification would be appreciated. It now proudly adorns my golfing cap!

Just giving this a bump, as there was no response first time round. It is in brass by the way and has copper 'footed' lugs.
