Ran a search on eBay and only saw 2 Essex & Kent listed. One is described as "GOOD CONDITION BRITISH ARMY THE ESSEX AND KENT SCOTTISH CAP BADGE FROM WW1. EXCELLENT DETAILS TO SCROLLS AND BADGE OVERALL IS GOOD WITH AGE PATINA TO LION'S MANE. BRASS ATTATCHMENT LUGS TO REVERSE. NICE USED BADGE, MEASURES 70MM HIGH."

So, if that is the one you're referring to, the description is erroneous. Essex & Kent Scottish regiment was organized in 1954 Oct from (you guessed it) the combining of the Kent Regiment and the Essex Scottish. V.F. Essex & Kent Scottish badge are quite common and you won't (or shouldn't) have problems picking one up in the < $15 range.

If you are interested in WW2 badges, you forget the Essex & Kent and look for "Essex Scottish" only: these will run in the $50-$80 range, depending on the material, maker, etc. Other ranks badges made in w.m. and brass (more desirable) and marked R (Roden), Birks, and Scully (I believe).

Default a PS

I see 1st Motors has an Essex Scottish listed in the Canadian section of the classifieds on this site. Usual caveat, I have no connection with this seller and make no recommendations regarding this vendor's character, integrity or the wholesomeness of his offerings

Hmm, badges as porn. Let's see, all-hours and after-hours fixation... surreptitious web browsing in darkened basements... "Honey, whatcha doing down there?", ""Uh, nooothing, sweetie!", salivating over front-and-back pix of Prince Rupert Regiment or Garrison Battalion badges... yup, pretty much

DavidS, your killing me man. I read this and burst out laughing in the middle of Old Canada House. I am the only civy in here, now they think I'm insane.

Thanks, I needed a grand laugh like this.
