Boer War era Canadian collar

Originally I bought a white metal collar badge, it was listed as a Boer War era collar. I was at a military show and trying to get a 2nd collar and it was suggested that the white metal collars never existed.

I have a "normal" copper collar that matches most of the details of the white one (aside from metal type) but thought I would post here for feedback.
