Default Officer's Home Service Helmet

An officer's home service helmet, post 1902, for the Duke of Wellington's ( West Riding Regiment).
Most of the gilding is still present; no idea why the badge backing is scarlet instead of black.
As one can see, made by Flight's, a common maker.

Thanks, but I don't want to mess with it.
I'll just leave it as is.
