Default K9 badge

Good morning,

I have just found this badge. I know there is in the US Army a K-9 corps with military working dogs. Do you think there is a link ?

Hi Laurent

This is a collar badge ("collar brass") worn by civilian police dog handlers in the USA, I don't think US military dog handlers would wear it as they would be specialists within their particular branch (MPs etc.) and would wear the branch collar insignia.

All the best

Graham

Looks more like a US Police collar number.

Marc

Too late. As above post.

Thank you both for your replies. Indeed, many US police forces have K-9 units

Laurent, I can't say for sure, but here are some links to US dog handler pictures, and you might be able to see some insignia in htem.

One thought that comes to mind. Being brass could it be US Navy?

And one last possibility.
