British Army Headdress 1939-1945
On behalf of the Military Historical Society I am putting together a small publication with the above title.
It will include details of the introduction and use of the various types of headgear and be illustrated with photos of them being worn and colour images of actual examples like those shown. At the moment I am trying to find images of the khaki solar pith helmet as shown in the photograph. If anyone has or can take pictures of an example please PM me. I am also looking for other examples - including glengarries and the bonnets worn by the Lovat Scouts and Scottish Horse - so if you have a WW2 headdress collection and might be able to help with similar pictures please PM me. Any contributors will of course be credited. Jon |

I have this, and as you can see, it’s a Norfolk regt one.
