Default Uniforms

Just a little outside the remit of the forum but I hope the moderators will permit some leeway.

I have a number of projects coming up, one of which is a two-volume work by noted Canadian uniformologst Rene Chartrand, on the uniforms of Queen Victoria's Canadian Militia.

If you have one or more of these items, as well as belt buckles, cross-belts, etc.., please consider sending me a photo for possible inclusion. No professional skills are required. What I find best is to lay a white sheet on the floor, Button up the tunic, stand over the uniform (at a slight angle so that no shadow is cast on the item) and send me the pic. Include your name and any known details of the item.

Thnx,

Clive

Note - I also welcome photos of other eras, for other projects.

Clive, Just to be crystal clear, you mean pre-1901 militia? Or up to 1914? (Note the collars on the 35th Simcoe Foresters tunic were not authorized until 1912.)

The specific goal is pre-1901 but I am always looking for photos of uniforms as I have MANY other projects in the works.
