Default your opinions on this Irish Guards Badge please.

The attached badge has been offered by two different e-bay sellers, (one on both sides of the Atlantic). Both sites claim their badges came from government surplus sales.

The central device is the low "traditional" warrant officers type. The badge is advertised as an Officers pattern, but the central device is not raised as much as an Officer's pattern.

Note the badge is poorly made the star is cut asymetrically , and both of the letter "A" s in the motto are missing their 'feet".

Anyone seen this before and/or have any comment on the chances of it being genuine?

thanks

John

John ,
these are the copies that are advertised in the 'Worldwide Militaria' catalogues (US surplus plus more). All badges are reproductions. All sorts available. All Brit Inf. & Cav. ,etc Nicely presented ,full colour. Good to have a copy of this( supplied with every purchase) ,to view some of the duds that are on sale ?
Cheers !
Steve
PS: I bought one of these ,to see what they looked like, in reality. Identical to the one you show here.
