CC over Number Shoulder
Various dealers have "silver" shoulders that read CofC over #### (number). In the Mazeas book (pre 1914 Militia) these badges are labeled as Cadets Corps. Some dealers say that they are Corp of Commissionaires. I have several history books on the Commissionaires and nowhere in them is a photo of any Commissionaire wearing these shoulders. Does anyone have an idea on these shoulders??

C of C shoulder badges.
These badges are Canadian Commissionaires, the Canadian Commissionaires no longer wear the uniform for work duty. Hope that answers your query.

CC over Number Shoulder
Ok! So if they are a Commissionaire badge, what is their significance? A detachment number, a division number? I would find it very hard to believe that they are the persons Commissionaire number. Do you have or have you ever seen a photo of them being worn?
It is interesting that the record (partial as it is) of these badges is held in the Pre-14 Mazeas book (Cadet Section). I think I lean towards them being Cadet Corps, but I really have no proof
