Royal Warwicks
Hi All
Just to show that there are still some bargains to be had. I got this all white metal RWR Militia or 'Stepping Out' badge today for the equivalent of GBP5. Unfortunately it has been brooched, but I'm pretty sure this was probably done by the original owner, maybe for a sweetheart because the lugs have been very cleanly removed. Other than that, it is in great condition. Cheers, Alex Last edited by Alex Rice; 21-01-10 at 03:47 PM. Reason: More information to add. |

It appears to be a two piece badge.
Can you please confirm that for me? Thanks. Phil |

RWR badge
Hi Phil
I think it's a one piece badge, but the brooch pin obscures the join between the scroll and the hart, so I'm not 100% sure. Cheers, Alex |

I can see that it is a 2 piece badge constructed in the normal manner.
Not all brooched badges were intended for Sweethearts however! This was quite commonly done for the soldiers themselves. Makes removal for cleaning easier and provides a more secure fastening than sliders, although this badge was lugged. CB |

Mostly worn as lapel badges in civvies. I have a distant relative's photo with a full sized RA gun badge on his lapel.
