Default Kings Own Lancaster?

Hi All,

any ideas on this pin badge. Looks like Kings Own Lancaster Regt but on the reverse has B.I.R.U.T. 1962

Googling shows it as a British Lions touring badge, of 1962.
Sally Bosley's site offered it as British Lions Rugby Touring pin badge South Africa (1938 date) at a hefty price.
Presumably the number is a tour date not a badge serial number
