Lanarkshire Militia
Hi all,
Another one from yesterday UK pick ups. I believe it to be a Lanarkshire Militia badge. Silver and gilt with broach fitting. Bydand scroll as a Gordon Highlanders forebear. Not in Bloomer and further ID info would be appreciated. Cheers Dean |

hello,
i think we have a 92nd badge (bloomer II p85 or Bloomer I p33) for a part with a St Andrew saltire on it and Lanarkshire has no connection with the Gordon Highlanders; regards. Jean-Marie |

I agree this is a marriage of two different badge parts.

The Gordons centre has been covered by a St. Andrew figure and the affixing is appalling, running all over the By Dand Scroll
the brooch fixing is also a later addition to the outer wreath and not original to the original outer part of the badge. regards

Thanks chaps I take it the badge has been messed about with. Little documented on early badges and so was worth a punt.
