Default Pontefract Volunteer button

Not in my line of collecting but in a box of my odd badges and other bits and pieces I recently went through I found this Pontefract Volunteers Button.
I have been on line but couldn't find anything about it.
Can anyone give me any idea if it is a rare button or something thats fairly common.
Apologies for the other badges in the photo but all of them were in the same box and being lazy I phoographed them together.

Any ideas at all please.

Cheers

Arnhem

Hi
Hard to tell regarding button , if Napoleonic , it would be desirable , but not rare as to originality you would need better photos. Also who is the maker to rear which would help date it .

Cheers steve

Put the button on a flat piece of white card with the shank pushed through so that the button lies flat, then take a close up photo of it. Then turn it over, (it will lie flat) and then do the same with the back. Post the photos and we will then be able to see (hopefully) all the detail.

Dave.

Volunteer buttons as a whole are not common but within that groupage Pontefract isn't rare it was one of the bigger units in Yorkshire 785 rank and file. metal Detecting finds of these come up fairly regularly as there is a large metal detecting presence in Yorkshire. non dug are rarer and now a days with buttons you never can tell some crazy prices seem to be happening.
