Newfoundland nationality titles
While not part of the Dominion of Canada at the time, I am posting this question here.
Was the Newfoundland nationality title, worn by the Newfoundland Royal Artillery Regiments during the Second World War, made in canvas?

I studied NEWFOUNDLAND shoulder titles in some detail late last whilst researching an article for Militaria magazine on the Newfoundland regiments RA - every title variation we identified was EonF. The white on khaki variant worn by 166 (Newfoundland) Fd Regt RA eluded us completely.

Hi Mike, Yes, it was that thread that sparked this enquiry.
An after thought, perhaps the white Newfoundland titles were blanco'd examples?

Could well be, but I seem to remember being told last year that somebody has seen an example in a collection - embroidered in white on khaki. Possibly made up by the firm that made the white on khaki examples in my collection; CANADA, BRITISH GUIANA, SOUTH AFRICA, AUSTRALIA and GREECE.
