Very nice. I've only ever seen a version with two tangs/prongs. Now I need to look for one of these

interesting... my example is 31mm north to south. I’m curious why RD adopted the practice of using the collar badge for the cap, while an established sealed pattern already existed? Was it a particular point of Regimental significance or or were they simply tired of being confused for Military Foot Police?

The story seems to be WWI privately made and worn until 1919 when they were forced to use the official pattern
