Default Royal East Kent Mounted Rifles

An interesting inter squadron competition Medal the Royal East Kent Mounted Rifles.
It is marked silver on the rim I like this medal very interesting but have a greater interest in the Staffordshire Yeomanry should any one have an interesting trade offer

Over 500 views and no comment from a Kent collector I must say I am a little surprised this is a rare item in our world of collecting. Does any one have an image of the mounted Rifles?

Regards

Stephen

Here’s one I nabbed from the internet, mainly because it illustrated the Pouch Belt Plate of which there were a large number of unfinished examples in the Gaunt stuff offloaded by the NAM. I have one.
I’ve never understood why they were sometimes referred to as the REKMR and at other time REKY. I have a collar badge with the former but have never seen a cap badge.

The Sharpshooters Museum has a very good website of the archives many of them photographed. You may find something similar on there.

Maybe because they were (leaving out all secondary titles):
The Royal East Kent Mounted Rifles until 1901;
The Royal East Kent Imperial Yeomanry 1901 - 1908;
The Royal East Kent Yeomanry 1908 - 1920.

The collar badge I mentioned is post 1901, KC.
