very hard to tell due to oxidization ..is there much price difference between the two ??

It looks brass in the photo... but having corrected the contrast I now think its a white metal? Dont the brass ones have a more rounded edge to the crowns....like the MGC of the period?

Steve,
Some dish washing liquid, hot water and a gentle going over with a soft tooth brush should reveal the Wm I beleive it to be and will do little harm to the badge! The Gm versions did not come with strengthening bars! Andy

Give the bottom edge a clean.... that should tell you.
