Default Manitoba Mounted Rifles: Slider?

Hello again gents.

Continuing to plow through a large collection for the family of a 60s-90s period collector who passed away earlier this year. Before putting things up on eBay, I vet anything unusual or suspicious here.

This is a lovely striking of the MMR badge; the only thing that gives me any pause is the fact that it has a slider (untapered, no maker), rather than the expected lugs. No sign at all of ever having been lugged. No maker's plaque.

Anyone have a similar example, or know if the regiment had badges produced in the UK prior to the war?

Note: 'vet' and 'pause' not intended puns!

Nothing wrong with a slider. It has been discussed here previously - not to be snide, but so you know my source. In the 1920s Canadian badges were made with sliders so as not to damage the pugarree or the Wolseley helmet by piercing them to accomodate lugs.

Just an additional note. Slidered badges were also made shortly after the FWW for general issues.
