Default SA Army PTI badge???

The attached photo shows a South African Army badge that was sold as a PTI badge on E-Bay some time ago. Does anyone know where i can get a similar badge (sale or swop).

Default PTI Badge???

No as far as i know (depending on the size) it was worn above the WO1 metal badge by the Sgt Maj SA Army in the 60's and early 70's. The cloth badge was used in the 70's, see attached photo, new badge with the "bok kop" in the castle was introduced at the end of the 70's..

Hi, after a careful search through my unidentified South African badges, I found 1. Unfortuanetly only 1, but it shows that they are around. Mine does not have the little chain on, but it has a loop on the back for the chain. It is 46mm wide(widest point). It looks to me that it may be slightly to big to go above the WO badge, but not sure. It has a brooch pin on the back. What is the chain for? I'll keep looking for you. Please let me know if you can confirm it's use or have any further comments. Have fun.

Default SA Army PTI badge

The badge SM:Army as shown on the cloth badge has straight blades on the sword as opposed to the curved blades on the PTI badge. The other badge at 4.6 cm could be too big (the old WO1 badge is 4.3 cm). This might just be a sweetheart brooch with the chain for extra security (if it comes lose). According to my pic should be about 2 cm across (see web page: http://www.uniforminsignia.net/index...d=42&sid=12980 )
