2nd Question
Hello again,
Having read before I joined, for hours on end, prevoius posts by a lot of members, I got the impression that it helps ones cause if one tries to do some research first, before asking questions ?? So I have tried several Avenues on the internet trying to find something out about this badge, I came up with a fact that Tremblay is a quite well known surname in Canada, especially Quebec but trying to find out if it was for a security company owned by Tremblay or someone named Tremblay who was working for a security company was non productive !!! Can anuone help indentifying this one please, it has a single threaded bolt at the back with a small pin at the top and has a very small stamp of BONDBOYD. Thanks. Andy L. Hi Andy, can't give you a definite answer but this badge looks like it was for a security company named Tremblay (you're right about that).
It seems to be for one of many security companies that were in existence, in the province of Québec,in the 1950s and 1960s. In those days you could start your own security company, one day with a few thousands dolars and half a dozen employees and you were in business. Those companies tended to pop up and disappear within a few years. The employees used to wear a semi-police style uniform(bought by the employee from Scully) with the badge worn the left breast. This badge belongs,IMHO, to one of those companies. Jo
